01A Journey Through History

According to historical accounts passed down through the years, the mansion was once used by the senior priest of an Armenian church, bearing witness to Mardin’s centuries-old multicultural heritage.

Today, this historic building lives on as Mezopotamya Almina Konağı, carrying its remarkable heritage from the past into the future.

02The Memory of Stone, the Soul of Mardin

Every corner of Mezopotamya Almina Konağı tells a story.

Traditional stone rooms, arcades, iwans and distinctive architectural details invite our guests not simply to stay in Mardin, but to experience the city’s history from within.

Selected rooms also feature private traditional-style baths, inspired by the centuries-old bathing culture of the Ottoman era. Here, the warmth of historic stone architecture meets contemporary comfort, creating an experience that connects the past with the present.

More than a hotel…

For us, Mezopotamya Almina Konağı is much more than a place to stay.

It is a heritage of 580 years of memories carved into stone;

the elegance of Artuqid architecture;

the breathtaking landscape of Mesopotamia;

and the timeless hospitality of Mardin.

Our story begins with respect for the past.

Our purpose is to preserve the spirit of this remarkable historic building, introduce our guests to Mardin’s history, culture and traditional architecture, and create an unforgettable experience in one of the world’s most extraordinary ancient landscapes.

Mezopotamya Almina Konağı

Memories of the future, written in the stones of the past.

A konak that welcomes like a home and cares like a hotel.

Mezopotamya Almina Konağı was conceived for stays shaped by thick stone walls and a courtyard that sets the rhythm of the day.

Rooms are simple, materials honest, the welcome sincere. Everything moves a little slower here.
